Lindt
A delicious range of Lindt chocolate. David Sprüngli’s opened a small confectionery shop in Zurich all the way back in 1845, producing the first solid chocolate bar in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. In another part of the country, in Berne, Rodolphe Lindt had what may just be the happiest accident of his life: In 1879, he accidentally left the conching machine on on a Friday night, leaving it to churn the chocolate for the entire weekend. When he returned on Monday morning, the chocolate was so smooth and delicate it melted in your mouth – just the way Lindt chocolate, including Lindor, is famous for today.
